Catch up on our first live webinar for 2026 featuring a lineup from our newly refreshed Speakers' Guide.

We have officially launched our updated Speaker's Guide, now featuring 80+ incredible leaders across 17 subsectors, proving that expert diverse voices are ready and available to lead the conversation - as showcased in our inaugural webinar by our 8 amazing speakers. If you were unable to attend the session, please find a recording of the session here. WoZEV+ would like to extend a special thank you to our speakers for their generosity in sharing their expert knowledge, and to all who participated in the discussion and made our webinar such a success.

Thank you also to the Electric Vehicle Council for hosting the session on our behalf. We were all inspired by the depth of insight and experience that was shared. Events like this remind us why WoZEV+ exists: to elevate diverse voices, strengthen industry connections, and continue driving positive change across the zero-emission and clean transport sector.

Highlights from the event include:

- Rising petrol costs are rapidly shifting consumer behaviour. Our panel noted that drivers who previously planned to switch to an EV in two or three years are now bringing those purchases forward to today.

- Another theme explored was the need to educate small businesses and hospitality venues on the business case for "destination charging." By showing venues the value of hosting chargers, we can make EV charging a seamless part of where people already park and play.

- The discussion took a deep dive into freight and fleet electrification. To avoid "reinventing the wheel," there was a strong call for better industry knowledge-sharing. Using resources like ARENA’s knowledge bank allows the sector to learn from early fleet transitions and avoid repeating costly mistakes. Infrastructure needs careful planning - panellists highlighted that grid upgrades and depot power availability can become more significant hurdles than vehicle supply.

- To bring our mission back into focus, there was recognition that while diversity is growing, women still hold only 10–18% of leadership roles in this sector. Each speaker shared a personal commitment to changing this narrative, ensuring the next generation enters a truly inclusive industry.
